Chuda Ghasa is an authentic traditional recipe used mostly at temples during any occasion in Odisha. It is also considered a s Bhog or Prasad

Ingredients


  1. Chuda (Poha) - 100 gm
  2. Sugar or Jaggery - 30 gm 
  3. Desi Ghee - 40 gm
  4. Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  5. Grated Coconut - 1 cup 
  6. Raisin - 10 gm 
  7. Cashew Nut - 10 gm
  8. Ginger - 1/2 inch
  9. Salt


Preparation

  • Crush the ginger well.
  • Then, crush the chuda (Poha) roughly. (Note: It should not be fully powdered)
  • Take a big bowl and add crushed chuda powder.
  • Now, add desi ghee and jaggery and mix it very well with both hand for 5 minutes.
  • Then, add ginger, raisin, cashew nuts, pepper powder and mix it very well.
    Now, the chuda Ghasa is ready to be served. 

  Note: Do not add a little water. Water destroys its crispness.
